To celebrate the Queen’s 60 years of reign, Source Marketing Direct attended The Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant to watch a water parade of boats in her honour of her reign.
The second Jubilee to occur in British history has started on the third of June and the celebrations will continue the fourth and fifth of June, which are public holidays. Source Marketing Direct wanted to experience the celebrations of the second ever Diamond Jubilee by attending the first event, The Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant. Hector Montalvo of Source Marketing Direct hosted a barbecue together for all of their contractors, suppliers and families before they attended The Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant.
The second Diamond Jubilee celebrated in British history is an exciting event for locals and tourists to attend to celebrate this wonderful achievement claimed Source Marketing Direct. Queen Elizabeth II has been Queen of England for 60 years, which is the second longest reign in British history, with the late Queen Victoria reigning three more years than Queen Elizabeth II. After her father’s death, Queen Elizabeth II began her reign on the sixth of February, 1952 as the Head of the Commonwealth and queen regnant of seven independent Commonwealth countries including the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. Her coronation took place a year after her reign began on the second of June 1953 and her coronation service was the first coronation to be televised. She is married to Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and has four children. Through the years of her reign she has suffered many hardships that she had to overcome as Queen while maintaining her daily duties as Queen. This Jubilee event occurred to recognize the Queen’s achievements throughout the 60 years of her reign.
Source Marketing Direct celebrated the Diamond Jubilee event which started on Sunday the 3rd of June with The Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant, which is a 1,000‑ship Jubilee Flotilla, which the Queen and the Royal Family was amongst the passengers on The Spirit of Chartwall, a beautiful Royal Barge. The Flotilla started the pageant at Putney in the South West London Borough of Wandsworth and ended the pageant at Tower Bridge. The Diamond Jubilee Pageant started at 2:40pm and the Queen arrived at the Tower Bridge at around 4:30. Hector Montalvo, Managing Director of Source Marketing Direct commended on this event, “The Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant was such a sight to see! It was nice to experience this first-time event with all of my family, colleagues, and suppliers.” Source Marketing Direct viewed the pageant at Tower Bridge, regardless of the crowds.
Hector Montalvo, Managing Director of Source Marketing Direct said, “The area around Tower Bridge was so crowded with spectators, but we all stayed at the park near Tower Bridge until the pageant moved closer and then everyone moved closer to get a better view. Everyone had a blast experiencing the second ever Diamond Jubilee.”
